6800 XT or 6900 XTXH?

The price difference is $200? While looking at the bullet I was going to bite for the cheapest 6800 XT I could find, I saw a listing for a 6900 XT for $200 more and it comes with a wb. Considering what I'm getting ready too spend, I'm thinking "Why the f*** not?" So what I want to ask by posting this is: am I thinking straight?

It's upto you what you get but i would be asking myself if the extra $200 is worth it for the extra few FPS or what ever else the 6900xt will be used for, or could that $200 be used to improve something else

Why not?

You already have a well-appointed custom cooling loop so it's not like a GPU with a waterblock is unfamiliar territory.

The other option is to get the conventional card and add your own aftermarket waterblock (like another Alphacool fullcover) which will eat up most of that $200 savings.

It's up to you if you have a preference on aesthetics (whether you like the design of the AIB partner's waterblock or an aftermarket design) or maybe whether or not you feel one company is more adept at designing waterblocks.

One thing I would personally shy away from would be one of those hybrid graphics cards with an AIO for the GPU and a conventional on-card fan for the VRM section.

Water block is likely $100, 6900XT should be about $400 more than 6800XT, $200+ more is a no brainer unless you are budget limited

I see in your sig that you've gone for the XFX RX 6900 XT Speedster MERC 319, excellent choice! It was on my radar and I would have gotten it from Amazon had it not been an issue with my CC (forgotten to raise limit), the Sapphire RX 6900 XT Nitro+ sorta fell onto my lap at a slightly higher cost (but I'm covered with local distributer's warranty).
