this is a 690 discussion. not a 295x2 nor 290x. pay attention.
dont be a dick head scrub post in the thread for the review or the correct forum section in general. I apologise I misread because you added irrelevent information to your post by using terrible copy paste skills /sarcasm.

Battlefield 4 got more optimized since the first review,if you look at the 690's performance in battlefield 3 in the same reviews it is practically the same FPS(within error margin)or Nvidia came up with a better SLI profile for it.

what cause this 39% boost? typo error for 26.3fps?
what happen here? what is the correct value?

The 4/8 benchmark was using a new driver. I guess Nvidia made it run better on the GTX 690.

There was a SLL profile update and Surround profile update on 332.21
http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/332.21/332.21-win8-win7-winvista-desktop-release-notes.pdf

just want to re confirm at 39% boost.

cause I am NOT seeing that 39% boost with 680 x2 (essentially 690). same with 680 x3.

solaris17 - sorry for the tough love.

If you check the Test Setup pages for both you will see that the 3/4 benchmark was using the 331.82 driver and the 4/8 benchmark was using the 335.23 driver. I have heard what Jack1n said also, Dice has been working to improve BF4.

solaris17 - sorry for the tough love.

Did you cross check to see the performance gains between the 2 driver versions? Are you sure you have nothing else running that can slow down your machine? Why are you just assuming 2 680s will net you the same results when the drivers treat both cards differently and not to mention use different clocks/memory speeds/timings.

Apology not accepted this is not the youtube comments section you cannot sign up and talk to people like that here.

you were clearly not paying attention. hence the tough love. :p
anyway still exact same context. just shifted some context around a little to make it extra clear.
taking some responsibility incase my original post was less clear.

back on topic.
so. anyone with multi 680 getting this 39% boost?

Yes I was your original post was close to the following.

Review - 04/08/14 - AMD Radeon R9 295x2 8gb
690 with 335.23 with BF4 at 5760x1080 4xAA to be 36.3 fps
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/R9_295_X2/9.html

Review - 03/04/14 - PowerColor r9 290x PCS+ 4gb

in which case it is easily assumed that you are wondering why a 290x2 had a 39% boost over a 290x in the same test vs a 690.

the logic is of course still flawed because you are still assuming your cards pull the exact same frames as a 690 in the game and that 2 680s would have the same performance boost with the same drivers, which is absurd.

my original post "was" what 64k quoted. "not close to". he understood. enough said.

I am not assuming you are doing these calculations wrong. By all means ask in the appropriate section if the review has a typo but it will only kind of give you a ballpark estimate on if your cards are performing correctly.

Test set ups, processor speed and type, driver updates hard drives, almost anything means review results are relative, not absolute. The 690 results would be massively increased since that review so the 295x2 review will have hugely updated fps through optimisation and drivers.
As to your own set up, again, unfortunately reviews are relative, that's why you should surf around for median result.
Finally, as a new poster in a well established forum, it's always best to be humble and conservative when posting. When you're established you can be more relaxed. Etiquette still exists in society, even online.

fully aware that a 690 will pull different frame rate compare to 680 x2. 690 is a slightly neutered version of 680 x2. point taken.

that does not change the fact that there is a 39% boost/difference between these two reviews/drivers. hence asking if it is a typo.

definitely looking for that ballpark estimate.

again. sorry for the tough love.

Ask the question in the review you are questioning. No need for the "tough love" and/or any other hyperbole. We're adults here.
