they are actually identical physically (cept i have samsung chips and you have infineon i think, where the samsung chips were giving issues at higher clock speeds, so they recalled all of them and have rebranded them, and came out with the superior infineon (i may have mixed them up but i'm not sure)) from what i have seen

i kind of want to try a gtx bios and see if i can get the mem chips up higher than the 760 coolbits put it to (on the auto fn only so far) because the gto bios has the chips on tighter timings, but they clock slower, plus they have less voltage

maybe i could get a copy of your bios, to tool around with, and see if i can isolate the ram voltage hex part and maybe just up mine a bit.... <.< ..... >.> ...... yea, that'd be sick

btw i have a ? for you alec, which i'm sure you've answered elsewhere, but i was just wondering: why do you only have 512mb of ram? why not get at least a gig? i was just curious...

Cool, was just curious is all - it looks JUST like mine for the most part architecturally upon cursory examination @ least on my part.

i kind of want to try a gtx bios and see if i can get the mem chips up higher than the 760 coolbits put it to (on the auto fn only so far) because the gto bios has the chips on tighter timings, but they clock slower, plus they have less voltage

Tell me what to export it w/ & I can send it your way, I don't see or know why not...

Don't find that I need it on this rig (I need better more overclockable RAM though).

PLUS - I page out to a 2gb solid-state disk noted @ bottom of my sig:

1gb partition #1 as pagefile.sys set static on it, & temp ops/logging/browsercache/spooler/comspec & more to it on the 2nd partition... it works well!

However it is older technology circa 2003 or so & uses PCI 2.2 bus, & PC-133 SDRAM!

(Thus, limiting how fast it COULD be! Seeks are 0ns super-fast, defrags take seconds, CPU usage is PUNY @ 2% (good driver)... BUT, "burst speeds" are bus-limited to 132mb/sec, however, HERE is hope for that, do read on!).

It will work even BETTER once I get the DDR Drive X1 solid-state disk because it uses faster RAM & also PCI-Express x4 (which I have an open slot for)... apk

Here is the .08 based EVGA GTO BIOS with the default clocks set at 650/750 and the tRRD set to 8 versus 10. So far, it is the best performing BIOS I have tested.

It will also let your coolbits detect much higher.

is there any chance this bios gives more volts to RAM? or how can it be done?
