i've heard some GS's could clock higher than ultras, BTW mine is a Gigabyte 256-bit 256mb, with 1.6ns. I'm shooting for 510core 1300mem, we will see.

to tell you the truth, I really cant wait, I take it you are running benches right now?
Also, im guessing that was the same gx2 that was on sale here at TPU a month ago? I was going to buy that, but unfortunately im broke as a joke.
EDIT ive got my x800GTO ultraclocked on my D830, anyone want to see those benches? I could probably post fallout3, oblivion, bioshock, maybe even crysis (i wonder if it can even start some of these up, maybe too outdated on shader models?)

I definately would like to see older cards with new drivers, primarily after this:
Just got my x800GTO, with a zalmon cooler and heat spreaders on the ram, overclocked to 590//1180(400/980 defaults). I put this in my HTPC hoping that it would play guitar hero III on lowest settings. Turned out that it maxed it out, 1024x768 with 8xAA. I think(know) that the change in drivers makes a huge difference on historical cards.
that, and it was 60FPS, only limited by whatever limitation aspyr held (built in vsync, FPS limit w/e)

How am i making fun of him? I want to do the same thing with modern hardware. Older gfx, newer drivers, and modern system = good time.

BTW CD, what drivers are you gonna run with it? I know I cant run Crysis with anything past the 95's

I have my 6800GT flashed to Ultra. Its awesome.

do you know the bios mod for more core on the 7950?

and i can get the 8800 higher but i liked how it sounded @60% fan vs 100% fan

im pretty sure the bios mod doesnt work for the GX2, but i could be wrong. I know it works for the the 7800/7900/7950 GT series... but most people who bios mod the gx2 report the vgpu at 1.25 regardless of the bios setting. There is a guy at XS who made a bios with more aggressive fan profiles.
