7970 and 7970 ghz?

What's the difference between the two other than the stock over clock. I want to buy one or the other, but i haven't decided.

Since you mention it, my card with the GHz edition bios worked fine... Until I wanted to overclock it further. It didn't like it. Not sure if it was the power tune features or the drivers at the time but I much prefer the original bios.

I recall hearing your experience as well as others with the GHz bios, so I never bothered flashing it. My reference cards overclock just fine without it. IMO the reference cards work fine, especially with water cooling.

I went with the SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7970 OC 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI ... I'll just oc it to 1050 and get stable memory clocks and call it a day
