Shouldn't the x86 drivers be smaller in size compared to the x64? They are both 124MB? strange....

Slow down, really? You're the 1st so far that I've read that. One other person's post I've read indicated no real change when using vantage with a 4890. But no slow downs.

I ran a few benchmarks Vantage, 3DMARK06 and it really dropped the scores. I went back to the official 10.2 drivers and MUCH BETTER. I was surprised because I really haven't ever had a driver problem that dropped FPS but these did. Hopefully the OFFICIAL release will be better.

Tbh ive read a few press releases about the new 10.x drivers and the crossfire profiles. Everything relates to the 5800 series, seems like they just dont give a shit about 4800 series anymore. Im loving ATI and have done for many years, but im hating their lack of support and belated driver support. Hopefully this will all change soon.

The only driver I have EVER had a problem with is the 10.1 drivers. I was getting hit with a rare bug that was fixed with 10.2. With that being said I don't understand why all the hate toward ATI drivers. Its not the drivers fault Fermi got delayed.......again.

what the hell has the delay of fermi got anything to do with my comments are you implying that im some kind of nvidia fan boy? Attacking me before you actually have taken onboard what i have wrote?. The new drivers and crossfire profiles have been made with priority to support the 5800 series and no support given to the 4800 series at all. If you read between the lines with what they are say you can pick that up.

I NEVER have had a problem and i never stated this at all. Im simply disappointed with the crossfire profiles and the lack of them, also the time it takes for ati to get them to us and the lack of support in the latest drivers regarding the 4800 series.

hehe i was thinking the same. If ATI don't sort out the scaling issue by late this year or early next year their not getting my cash either. And these are worse with scaling so far.

I NEVER have had a problem and i never stated this at all. Im simply disappointed with the crossfire profiles and the lack of them, also the time it takes for ati to get them to us and the lack of support in the latest drivers regarding the 4800 series.

Anyway I dont think they are going after the 4800 series anymore because they have taken them about as far as they can go. I mean software can only push hardware so far.

This is ATI not Nvidia, the crossfire profiles will work for 3870 and above, ATI dont play those games.
