Hello, I'm new here, just got a Z390 Master motherboard to go with my 8086K.

This one is so far on a maximux hero X which I find relatively unstable and so I decided to go with a aorus one someone sold me
Here are the settings i've put on the Aorus one. I did not had time to do proper stres on Prime since i'm working from home those days ...

Is there any settings or choices that seem somehow wrong to you?

Thanks

If some of those settings seems "bad" or improvable :)

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
You should actually say that in the first post so we know what your point was. ;)

Anyway... I'd be surprised if you needed so much SA and Vccio. Outside of that, nothing sticks out.

I didn't thought it would be safe to go lower than those values

those seemed pretty low no?
CPU VCCIO 1.05
CPU SA : 1.15

I believe stock is 1.0 for SA and 0.9 for Vccio. You can find out by setting them to auto and see what it says.

Your basing too high and too low off nothing. ;)

Holy cow... you posted to a couple sites and have answers already... ;)

I'm on the Masters little brother, the Aorus Pro, and going from 2x8GB to 4x8GB, I needed quite a bump in VCCSA. 1.250-1.290 from 3600CL15-3900CL15, while it almost didn't matter when using 2 sticks. But the 9900k might not have as good mem controller as the 8086k, and the Pro is a 4 layer PCB vs 6(?) on the Master, and maybe you are using 2x16GB and it doesn't compare to my issues at all. I'm not being helpful today :wtf: My point is, maybe you need a little VCCSA, but test it as EarthDog suggested :)

Oh, and the Gigabyte boards tends to put Auto voltages pretty high when using ram XMP. Mine goes above 1.3V on VCCSA (1.320ish if I remember correctly), so make sure to check that.

I will try 1 and 0.9 then :)

What's the worst that can happen if too low?

i have 4x8 3466 Trident Z

Yeahs i've posted in many placed but feels like i never really have the same answers twice soooo xD

CPU VCCIO 1.05
CPU SA : 1.15

What are the benefits of lowering sa by the way ? anything on temps?

The worst that can happen if it is too low? Your PC will create a singularity in your home............kidding of course. You may get a no boot situation and the motherboard should correct itself.

Temperatures may drop 1-2C... but again, the point of overclocking is to reach your speed goal using the least amount of voltage to be stable. That is the name of the game. It takes trial and error testing. Because you have so much RAM, you may need to keep it that high... it's all about testing and figuring it out.

Note: @lsevald - the 9900k IMC is likely better than an 8086k IMC.

Longevity? I've noticed it's generally recommended to stay below 1.250V for VCCSA, but I've seen guys at 1.610V, and considering many boards Auto above 1.300V, I'm personally not very worried at 1.290V. I've also seen claims that too high VCCSA can cause instability, so maybe it's a matter of using the right amount for the memory load in question?

I will try to lower those then and see

Well i tried and fail badly !

When I lowered vccio and SA the pc would not boot, it restarted, shut down and finally arrived in bios and all the settings were restored and profile erased.

I will leave SA and IO as it is i think !

Also someone asked me if I wanted a 9900kf in exchange for my 8086k and 200€.

I do mostly gaming, movied and some graphic design, rarely videos for work. Is it worth it or should i just keep my money?

Well at 1.31, BSOD... Will try 1.32 or is there other parameters I could change for stability?

Might not be a bad deal as long as your cooling system can handle it - esp since your 8086 is running at 5.0 that kf will be generally faster with the new chips coming out that are the same speed i think it still has some life in it.

Hello I finally managed to pass an OCCT without error

1 hour test, large files, avx 2
8086k processor
Aorus Master Z390
vcore 1.33
Turbo LLC
Are these results ok?

I've set up io and SA to 1.15
disabled c state and speed shift

I would like to set up an adaptive profile but not so sure how to do...
Thanks
