8800 VS 2900 in Crysis.

What do you think the ods are the the 2900 will do as good if not better in crysis.

i think the 2900 will actually do really good because it has 320 stream processors. but the GTX does all around well in every game but only has 128 but i dont know how much diffrence this will make. Im hoping it will do good.

i don't think there will be much of a difference, but i wouldn't be surprised if the game is tweaked out a bit more for the 8800, but i guess we will have to wait and see...

Its impossible to tell at this early stage, considering its not even released yet

Maybe nVIDIA will slip CryTek a few quid and make it an 'nVIDIA: The Way Its Meant To Be Played' title :roll:

For sure theyll run the game great but with the 2900 having more stream processors and 512 bit memory interface i was guessing that the 2900 will do better but the GTX is so fast now with almost every game it might out do ati with this as well. but yeah the demo comes out this month so we will find out soon.

In a true DX10 game (on paper) the 2900 owns the 8800 series. In reality that's a different story as we have seen, but with the driver improvements the 2900 has really come in to it's own.

I just can't remember if Crysis is a DX10 game with DX9 support, or a DX9 game with DX10 support lol.

That is a good question, quite a pickle you are in at the moment. If it's based on DX10, wouldn't it be much harder to run for older DX9 cards?

The only thing I was unsure of when I bought my 8800 was DX10 performance. I really hope it does alright..I really wanna get this game.
