Is there anybody who knows what memory brands/brand they use on 8800GT?
I'm wondering because Qimonda always gave me crap errors, first time my 7900GT started artifacting, and then my 7950GT fried and locked in BIOS... they both had Qimonda.
My friend,he had a 7950GT with another brand,it was a Leadtek one and my was Asus.

So I'm wondering,do anybody know what memory chips that comes on each branded 8800GT card? I'm getting a Leadtek 8800GT so it's good to know, thanks for any help.

I've yet to see a board with Samsung chips, review cards all seem to have Qimonda crap.
I hope the Zotac AMP edition cards I ordered all have Samsung GDDR3... :)

Hmmm.
Gainward offers a factory overclocked 8800GT @ 700/1500/1025. AFAIK, board partners rarely (if ever) exceed the RAM's rated speed even for the overclocked SKUs, they just go for higher bin GDDR - fastest Qimonda is 1ns (1000MHz)...
I wonder what chips this puppy got?
