8Gb memory upgrade for asus p5e3 deluxe WiFi

Hi

I need advice regarding 8gb kit (4x2gb) memory update for asus p5e3 deluxe WiFi.

Currently i have installed 2gb (2x1gb) Corsair dominator 1600mhz, 8-8-8-24, 1,6V after removing 1 stick because i was having stability problems with 3gb kit (3x1gb) that i originally bought. 2Gb is a bit lol so i'd like to upgrade to what it's the maximum for my mobo that is 8gb.
Ideally i would buy 8gb kit (2x4gb) but i'm not sure that my old x38 chipset supports 4gb modules. Has anyone tried 4gb module on that specific mobo?

If this doesn't work i need most stable 8gb kit but i've find out on net that p5e3 deluxe runs on stability problems when all four sockets are filled. One option would be to buy 4gb kit and use currently installed kit for total of 6gb but that would probably cause stability problems. Other option would be to get two same 4gb kits for total of 8gb but that would also cause stability problems.

So what are your thoughts on this has anyone manage to get stable 8gb kit on asus p5e3 deluxe WiFi? What would you suggest?

I'll be buying from local web stores so far only those two kits are available

Where have you found that it has stability problems? I'd just get 4 x 2GB identical sticks and be done with it.

Looking on the net and read that same people having problems with stability when all 4 slots were occupied so... I think i'll just have to buy that kingston kit cus that vengeance kit (CMZ8GX3M4X1600C9) has Memory Configuration quad channel not sure that will work or my board but if it does i'll get corsair kit that's for sure.

So if anyone knows that that kit (CMZ8GX3M4X1600C9) will work on asus p5e3 deluxe WiFi let me know.

Agreed. You my run into issues if the sticks are not identical.
