Could you tell the exact ram model? (Are these something like ValueRam?)

These are 1066MHz, why are you running them at 800MHz? Go in your BIOS and set them to 1066MHz, 5-5-5-15 and 2.1V.

Because the other 2GB don't support 1066. Since I just removed them, I can try changing it back to 1066. I'm not sure where do I set the 5-5-5-15 values and, is 2.1V safe for my old mobo?

Try 2V for the Dram Voltage and if not stable go up to 2.1V. I don't really see how it could be not safe for your mobo.

You should see something like this in your BIOS:

DRAM Command Rate [Auto]
DRAM 1St Information: X-X-X-XX-X-XX-XX-X

TCL [Auto]
TRCD [Auto]
TRP [Auto]
TRAS [Auto]
TRTP [Auto]
TRC [Auto]
TWR [Auto]
TRRD [Auto]

DRAM 2St Information: X-X-X-X-X-XXX-X

TRWTTO [Auto]
TWRRD [Auto]
TWTR [Auto]
TWRWR [Auto]
TRDRD [Auto]
TRFC0 [Auto]
TRFC1 [Auto]
TREF [Auto]

Do this:

DRAM Command Rate [Auto]
DRAM 1St Information: X-X-X-XX-X-XX-XX-X

TCL [5]
TRCD [5]
TRP [5]
TRAS [15]
TRTP [Auto]
TRC [Auto]
TWR [Auto]
TRRD [Auto]

DRAM 2St Information: X-X-X-X-X-XXX-X

TRWTTO [Auto]
TWRRD [Auto]
TWTR [Auto]
TWRWR [Auto]
TRDRD [Auto]
TRFC0 [Auto]
TRFC1 [Auto]
TREF [Auto]

The rest should be correct on Auto.

Sorry for the delay. I was sort of busy. I'm running with those settings at 2.1V. It's stable so far. I did notice a slight improvement, and can finally reach at least 90% GPU utilization in some ares, but still struggles in others.

Like I mentioned, if I play in servers with 32 players or less, I can keep consistent 50-60FPS.

Also, I was helping some guy yesterday with a 965be and a 7970. He can keep 60FPS across the map. If his CPU can handle BF3 I guess that means mine should too.

Thanks guys, I'll go ahead and buy a new motherboard and DDR3 ram. :toast:

When you buy ram for the new board try to look for DDR3 1600 ram cas 9 and 1.5v* (a 2x4GB kit should be plenty)

* AMD setups usually prefer 1.5v vs 1.65v... I've had issues running 1.65v ram

Also, you can run lower speed/tighter timing (DDR3 1333, cas 8 or 7) which tends to run better on AMD setups... which is pretty easy to do with the spec's I suggested.

Good Luck! :toast:
