9800 se softmod difficultys

Hi im new here and really like the look of this site,
Today i tried softmodding my 9800SE as directed on this site the result was a jump from about 60 afps to 150+. The problem is that there are many many artifacts shown and i could'nt get rid of them using atitool, any help appreciated

the the card might not be able to use 8 pp

Did you overclock at the same time? It also may be getting too hot, but the most likely explanation is that you have some damaged pipes. You can try using RTool and disable HyperZ, force AA/AF, but nothing can really fix broken pipes.

Thanks all I have reinstalled thr origanal drivers now but the framerate is really low (around 40) and it wont run bf2 anymore.

Help much appreaciated

Have you used Driver cleaner to remove the old drivers completely in Safe mode before installing the new ones?

No i have not do i run this application in safe mode and then reinstall the orignal drivers?

Run it right after you uninstall the old drivers, then reboot into safe mode and run it again. Then reboot and install the new drivers. Sounds complicated, but its worth it.
