ok hey guys new to the forum just wanted to ask a few question after long thinking ive come to the conclusion of buying a 9800gt or gts 250 graphic card but since i live in india i dont have alot of choices therefore very limited and newegg or amazon dont ship here anyway my question are as follows if possible please answer me question wise
1. Is it worth getting a GTS 250 over a 9800gt because i will not play above 1440x900 resolution as i have a 19 inch
2.i have a HP A6450IN >> THOSE WERE the product specifications these are the motherboard info >>http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01357119&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=370744 9&lang=enhttp://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01412860&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=370744 9&lang=en[/url] ok now i just wanted to know if the gts 250 or the 9800gt will fit in my case as both cards are approximately 9 inches or 23 cm as it says the motherboard is 9.6 inches so does that mean it will fit ??
3. just wanted to know if i have to install the gts 250 which is a dual slot as seen from my motherboard picture will this cause any problem as i dont have anything occupying the pci slot or the express x 1 so is there any problem installing the gts 250
4. IF I Game on a 37 inch full hdtv will a 1 gb of either the 9800gt ot the gts 250 come in handy
5.I ALSO AM AWARE I HAVE TO CHANGE MY PSU COULD U GIVE ME SOME BUDGET EXAMPLES .now i know the various modes of connecting a card to the tv but for example is it worth getting a hdmi cable over a vga cable for gaming on my big screen??
!!PLEASE ANSWER QUESTION WISE!!

I would get a 9600GT. I have both the 9800GT and GTS250 and the 250 is better (at higher resolutions) but at your resolution it would be hard to tell.

The 9600 would play any game at your res, make less heat and consume less power.
(you could probably use your existing PS with the 9600 as well)

some of the 9600/9800GTs do not require the extra power plug as well

if u want to play in a 19"monitor 9800gt is the one for u..Hi I am also from India ...i have a 22" monitor and a factory oc'd 9800gt..it can handle any game w/o any problems ..i finished crysis and warhead and motogp etc...all in very high settings...
but gts 250 has a very nice cooler....and has 128 stream proc..and higher core clock...but for 19" monitor 9800gt is enough...and also dimensions of 9800gt is smaller than 250gts...a thin card...can fit in any mobos

9800gt and gts250 needs pci E X2.0 slots...they will work in pci E X 1.0 slots too ..but with reduced performace than 2.0
in my opinion if ur pci E slot is 1.0 then buy 8800gt...8800gt need pci E X1.0 slot...it is the best one for u....

you must buy a 450w psu from corsair or from coolermaster....check 450 w model of these brands ..and find a low priced edition...
If u can wait for 2 or 3 months u can buy dx 11 cards...

show me proof that that pci-e 1.0 is limiting your 9800GT!!!! even a GTX 285 is not limited by pci-e 1.0!!!,gtx 295 and HD4870x2 yes but no single card to day can max out a pci-e 1.0 slots bandwidth:rolleyes:

I have pci -E X 2.0 in my mobo...so there is no limiting for my 9800gt ..it works fine...:D

PCIe 2.0 devices for double speed and bandwidth which enhances system performance....it is better than 1.0 .....

but for this guy if he has a 1.0 then 8800gt is the best option

anyways 8800 ,9800 gt and new coming Gts240 are same cards with different setting from factory...we can buy 8800gt for less money ....:rockout:

Ok...

you went a little off topic but you still enlightened me but but at the same time caused me more confusion :( ok now i was goin through a few review and threads and see that the difference between the 9800GT<THE HD 4770 the one in red is the new contender < and the gts 250 so the order now is 9800GT<HD 4770<GTS 250 RIGHT?Below there will be a picture of the difference i found and they are huge there is 6 fps difference and 24 fps difference in each case but OMG !! the new contender 4770 is just 1 fps lower than the gts 250 in both case!?! so now ill be choosing between a GTS 250 AND A 4770 COULD YOU GUYS HELP ME A LITTLE MORE IM BACK TO SQAURE "1":banghead:

4770 is better than 9800gt

4770>9800gtx>9800gt

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ATI/HD_4770/9.html

you can buy Sapphire HD 4770 512MB GDDR5 ..you can buy it for 7000 Rs from Indian shops...have to give 200 rs extra sometimes (VAT)

I dont have any idea about the stability of ATi drivers in all types of games...cause i did nt use any ATi cards...i had one nvidia card...and now i have a 9800gt oc'd edition

anyways 4770 will give u nice performance than 9800gt..

Between the 9800GT and GTS250, the GTS250 is a little faster with 16 more shaders, but it's not a very big deal.
