did you recently install new drivers for your card? particularly the 6.4 catalyst drivers?

seems about 6/10 people are having some very bad graphical issues with these drivers.

it might be a driver issue. But it might be some artifacts u may want to take off the cards fan/hs and remove the original compound and use something else, that is if you feel comfortable doing that otherwise find someone who can do that for you and that would probably help :toast:

yeah, if putting it back on catalyst 5 drivers doesn't fix it for you, then I think your card is getting old and is telling you its almost time to retire...its possible to extend your 9800XT's life by replacing stock cooler with an uber-cooler (like VGA silencer, vf-700, turbo2...). Good luck!

i 've take out the fan & heat sink, clean up the dust and replace HS compound with AMD
silver. then tune back to 5.13 which i use last time. but cant fix the problem. also i find out
the surface of those mem chip at the fan side turns a bit shiny, looks like overheating to me.
maybe as zekrahminator said i should have replace the stock heat sink & fan earlier.

 :banghead:

anyway, thanks for all the good advice!! cheers!
