So i clean my PC today and when re-assembled it my CPU was running at 99c on a H80i V2! it was like the pump stopped working so i rebooted it still the same thing and then the system wasn't detecting the GPU at all after a few trial and errors it finally detected it and now it seems to be working but i still haven't tried the H80i V2 back in the system i'm using the stock cooler.
Has anyone had this issue before? i'm kinda leaning towards it being W10 fault since i just came over to it and this was my first major cleaning and teardown on this OS.

Also has anyone used alcohol to clean off the thermal paste of the ceramic caps around the GPU, because i did that before and nothing like this has never happened but i'm thinking that maybe the alcohol did't dry of properly.

Is the coolere mounted correctly, dose the thermal paste spread evenly ? are the pump and fans powered ? no OS will make your CPU cooler stop working.

Everything was as how it was suppose to be, this is not my first rodeo! But everything is working fine now.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
Something had to change...

I highly doubt w10 had anything to do with it though...

Windows 10 isn't going to affect how your water cooler operates. If you have it out of your PC hook up power supply up to it and verify that it's running properly, if it is put it back in your PC ,boot into the bios and monitor the temperature.

Regarding alcohol on the capacitors of your GPU ,it was dry before you put the shroud back on, trust me. why there was TIM on the capacitors of Your GPU is more of a mystery to me.

Correlation is not causation.

True but i'm still skeptical until the next teardown.

Some people have/had the issues i faced with windows 10, yes i have a test bench PSU and i i did test it before placing it back in the system which is working fine now.

It's around the die itself the small ceramic caps, I had to soak it with alcohol and rub off the paste with a tooth brush.

Rubbing alcohol evaporates almost within a minute ,if that. it's dried up.

I'm running current windows 10 with a corsair AIO ( H110igtx),not a single issue(googling "windows10 + corsair AIO water cooler " isnt bearing any results like your experienceing for me.). People tend to ignore the likely fact of user error often,in my experience 9 times out of 10 user error is the cause of issues like this. god knows ive done my share of fu@k ups

I know everything was properly seated and connected, because everything only goes in one way plus guess what.... It's working fine now and i didn't change a thing. I only dismantled it.
