Today i bought this MSI P45D3 Platinum (MS-7513) motherboard for £5 at my local market.I bought the PSU sometime ago at the same place for £4.Unfortunately the
motherboard came without the plate for the case. :( But i will put it in the case without one.I understand they are hard to get, and more likely cost a lot more than five pounds.I don,t want to pay a lot for the case say £30 for a second hand one. Also the motherboard has 8 pin do i have to connect two 4 pin ones? The guy in the video says you don,t to put more than one in there
ATX
305mm x 244mm
9 mounting holes
This will be my first build can you give me links to the case i should get.

You combine two EPS 4-pins to get one 8-pin EPS. Additional 4-pin on 20-pin is also attachable to form 24-pin.
DO NOT confuse 8-pin EPS (or CPU), with 8-pin PCIe.

The ones i am talking about are the power ones 12v there are two of them 4pin ones
PCIe one is a six pin for the GPU 897.I take it the board is a full size ATX not a mini or micro?Do you have any ideas on what case i should go for .?

It is a standard ATX motherboard, so any ATX spec chassis will do.

It more depends on the cooler height, GPU used, and amount of storage needed as to what chassis suits the needs best.

That cooler on the board, two or three drives, just a basic GPU something like Radeon R9 270x GTX750TI.
for XP. And it will only have USB2 so it will have to be an older case.

I am changing tack and want to upgrade the E8600 to a Q6600
Intel E97376-001 Heatsink for Core 2 Quad CPU Cooling Fan is this the right one for the Q6600?£10 or buy this one new and boxed £13. 719 is the second hand one.

I am thinking of building a PC again, what do you think of this one
  • Condition
    Used – like new
My old pc case I'm selling it for a good price, I'm also offering a corsair cx600 with 3 fans. Condition - a bit dusty but nothing you wouldn't be able to clean out -the audio jack on the case does not work -some of the USB slots could annoy you but still work. There seem to be some problems with stuff I am seeing on eBay and F,M,P
The audio jack on the case and the ISB slots. Is this a full ATX case? Again another 600 w Corsair

What do you think of this one PC case with a DVD drive and 2 x case fans included. USB 3, mic and headphone ports on the front. Some light scratches. No screws for Motherboard or case are included. again £20 . I would like to get something cheaper though.Like this guy in the video

What about this one for £10
i3 forth generation motherboard heatsink fan PSU pc case all for 10. Billy no mates, he only has 3 friends? o_OAnother one from F. M.P I should think this is an OEM case. by the look of it. And this one it is an ugly case but only £10 Cougar pc mid tower case DVD writer included 4 x fans fitted 2 x 3.5 HDD slots 3 x 2.5 HDD slots 3 x expansion slots (where DVD room is fitted) Missing 1 x foot stand as shown in picture *Its a bit dusty and might need some cleaning*, he's not kidding there.o_O
everything works perfectly . Nice price but ugly.:(I widh you would give me an answer about the heatsink I have decided to get a Q9500 From Ali Express.
