i just changed from an Acer 24" TN 1080 144hrz gaming panel to an Asus rog 27" IPS 1440 144/165hrz gaming panel..
all my benchmark scores have gone down by about 10%.. i am running them at 1080 levels.. firestrike has gone down from 22000 to 20000.. heaven down from 4400 to 4000..
i thought it might be running the benchmarks in a none native resolution but i get the same results in firestike extreme and ultra.. scores down by around 10%..
i thought it might be g sync but on or off it dosnt make any difference nether does the refresh rate i run at.. everything checks out the same clocks and the like but i have lost around 10% off my benchmark scores.. ??
i cant figure out why a change of monitor should lower benchmark scores but it definitely seems to have done just this.. i can live with lower benchmarks scores but its a puzzle why its happened..
i changed my monitor to get a fast IPS panel for photo editing.. the acer was okay for as gaming panel.. but its colour gamut just wasnt right for photo work and its viewing angles were crap for more than one person watching movies and the like..
trog
