Don't shoot me. I've been perplexed by the notion of crypto for a while, not really understanding how value increases.
I found this article and found solace in its description of the 'currency'. It sort of validates the notion that it's nothing more than wealth creation from virtually nothing but speculation.
Whether you agree or not, I'm not placed to argue the semantics, mining is not profitable enough in my country and for me, with finite power, mining is a selfish thing.

If you feel confused by crypto, you may like the article, it is an opinion piece. If you love crypto, you'll probably hate it. I feel pitchforks might get raised but that could speak more about it's inherent truth.
