A hard choice between 7600 GO and X1600

    i am buying a new laptop with the new intel core 2 duo processer (t7400), and i dont know if i should buy one with a X1600 or a Geforce 7600 GO. it will also have 1gig ddr2 ram, and that good stuff... but the video card is the last question

    please help

    Both are decent choices, which has more video memory? I would go with the x1600 but I am ATI biased. Either way you will probably be happy. If you are going to use the laptop for things other than gaming like video i would still lean towards the x1600, ATI generally has better video quality.

    just google it for benchmarks. last tjme i check (when i was looking for a gamming lappy) the 1600 was better, but those benchs are old. i would get the cheapest and buy a better gcard (7900gs or 18/900). make sure the laptop has pci-e mxm ...so that you can upgrade.

    last time i checked the 7600 was still better than teh crummy x1600 but that was desktop and they are diff in the laptop bizz
