A few days ago i received a new Asus P5Q3 Deluxe Wi-Fi and some OCZ PC3 14400(1800mhz) Platinum series to go with it. Unfortunatly for me most OCZ kits are not compatible with this mobo, i can only run them at 800mhz no matter what i do. This is a common problem posted all over the web.

So i've put in an RMA and am looking at other kits to buy. I've narrowed my search down to these 2 kits:
    http://www.cclonline.com/product-in...id=773&manufacturer_id=0&tid=tw3x2g1600c9dhx#
    http://www.microdirect.co.uk/(25342)Crucial-1GB-Ballistix-DDR3-1600MHz-Memory.aspx

Looking at reviews there's not really that much between them once overclocked, so i'd just like some input from you guys if you've got any experiance with them?
I'm off to work very soon so won't reply till later on tonight, thanks in advance :)

Would a BIOS flash not work? When one comes.

Bored at work so thought i'd log in :D
Well the mobo shipped with 1st release bios 0611, tried all releases since then to most recent 1201(released begining of month) to no avail. I wouldn't mind waiting if they fixed the issue in the next couple of days but i just don't want a pile of hardware sitting there doing nothing.

I must admit i am leaning towards the corsair but i think i'll wait for a few more peeps to chime in before i commit to them.

I'd go for the corsair - seeing as its 2GB for 60 quid, where as the other is 1Gb for 60 quid

the P5Q3 and most other p45 boards have crappy memory controllers. this is well documented on XS. there is not much you can do at this time except wait like the rest of us that have p45 boards.
