A m8 has a possible motherboard problem......

Processor I7 920 @ 4.2ghz @ 1.29v's load
Motherboard ASUS P6T Deluxe V2
Cooling Custom 1/2 inch H20
Memory 3x2gb Patriot Sector 7 @2008Mhz 27-9-11-9 1T
Video Card(s) EVGA GTX 580 SC 900/1800/1090
Storage 1-Mushkin 60gb SSD 1-500GB WD Black and 2-1TB 32mb WD Black
Display(s) 25 inch Hanns-G 2ms
Case Custom
Audio Device(s) Turtle Beach Catalina
Power Supply Corsair AX850 Pro Series-Modular

It would help If he listed His Mobo and new parts.....off hand It sounds like a short or the PSU Isn't capable for the new setup....I had the same thing when I first hooked up my Dual SATA 939 board....Turned Out to be my PSU(1st gen True Control)....switched It out for an 64bit tech compatible PSU(2nd Gen True Control) and all was well.........1st PSU still functions just fine......just that It was lacking something to power the 64bit mobo.

1st guess Is PSU....like I said.....I had the same symptoms when I first built this rig.

Tell him to try a PSU thats known to work with 64bit tech.
