I am traveling. Currently at my next terminal with a 3 hour layover and like every other flight I pass the time researching things I have going on IRL.
This time it was about my watch, I should bring it for service soon so googled it so I could read some forum posts to absorb the meta experience so I know what to expect.
LITERAL RAGE they inject a god damn Ad overlay that covers entire posts. Then you have to scroll up to read the post it covered. Only to hope it doesn’t bug out and cover it again(it does).
While I sit irritated I recall the same exact behavior at another site a few weeks ago. I was catching up on a thread regarding how much boost you could put into factory rods for a specific engine at its oem compression ratio.
SAME fucking thing. Ads just in the god damn forum. This time between posts.
Of course it doesn’t happen on PC or on my VPN where I can ad block, but most of the time like now as I’m idle at an airport I’m usually not connecting to my VPN to pass time.
But you know what site doesn’t require me to enable ad block? You know what site doesn’t require me to connect to VPN just so I can read a god damn thread. This one.
