One of my friends who live just a couple of blocks away from my house has been a victim of Vista piracy !! He was re-installing and when he activated, it said 'Please enter another key'
resons-Key is in use ' ??? he didn't install it on another pc, I suspect the keygen rumour is true ! m$ is in big trouble, not too bad for my frnd, it was home basic :p, but that proves that Vista legal users are in BIG trouble.

wow yeah that is nuts, i'll be p@#@ed the f@!k off if that happens to me when i get my new cpu and gfx card and i'll probably be forced to reinstall (you know windows new hardware usually means fresh install :p) my sympathy's to your friend tell him to call microsoft and for his troubles he should get an upgrade to home premium :p:rockout:

legality is dead....
I've to more cautious than him, cuz my I just got the Ultimate (legally and by $$$), so now i'm a lil TOO MUCH curious.

This is not the gerneral nonsense area, so please stop FUD like this in normal threads. As for the key problem, this has happened to all kinds of software and is in no way some special WGA problem. Thing is, if that happens to a legal customer of Microsoft, call them and you will be sorted. If you don't call them and just start bitching, you are probaly a warez guy...

I agree,

But in saying that, you still shouldnt have to call them and go through hassels if you really bought the product.

On another note (brought up by someone else...forget who), imagine this happened to a major company? Having so many computers....total chaos!

Yes, I know that it is annoying, but it's not as big a problem as people make of it, because all it needs to be sorted *is* one phonecall, which probably takes less time than making a post in a board ;)

Major companies have their own validation servers.

Personally, I think the working timestop crack out there is much more of a problem for Microsoft ;) Ultimate without a key, passing WGA and getting all extras and updates... which in some way makes the whole brute force key maker thing unnecessary, too.
