Hi all...

I oc'ed my Connect3D X800Pro ViVo to 520/580 (1,6 Samsung) with the original BIOS without any probs or artifacts. So it seems, that i can easily flash the XT BIOS with 520/560.
But when i flashed the X800XT PE BIOS with 520/560 i get a freeze in 3dmark 03!

I thought that the BIOS only clocks the core and the mem speeds higher or is there a lower latency for the mem implemented in the BIOS??

So i flashed my card back to the normal PRO Bios WITH 16 pipes enabled and clocked it again to 520/580 without any probs!

Why can't I use the original XT BIOS with lower clocks than 520/580, when it run it normally at 520/580??

Best regards...

Different memory timings? You could try different XT PE bios's. There's a 525/575 one as well. Maybe that's working. The gigabyte one is known as a bad OCer but some report it's better than others on their card. You migh give it a try as well.
