that Celeron may destroy a single core A64 but it will loose to even the x2 3600 man because of low cache count, why did ya buy it

Sorry i was a little shrewd earlier. I bought it because I am strictly all about budget and getting the best of the cheapest.

not to mention it destroys even the full cache dual core A64's.

Lukes AMD system (OC'd) used to match my FX62 in most things (even in superpi it was about a 10% difference at best) and his intel setup totally destroys that. TH E2160 might not be that much faster than AMD's at stock, but the massive OC from them for 'free' on most boards (200FSB chip in a 400FSB 'stock' mobo) means that you really cant get much of an easier OC.

i compared yours to the dual core 3600 which is faster in most benchmarks. The E1200 is on a limited FSB so most of its data to process quickly has to be stored in the L2. SuperPI doesnt use the L2 cache to its extent. But your 2x256k L2 limits you in alot of ways. At 3.2ghz that E1200 could maybe compete with an E4500 @ stock. I like the core microarcituture alot but they are still highly cache dependent the less cache the worse your actully going to do in the real world. SuperPI times mean how fast your CPU can do interger math.
