Hi everyone, I'm asking this for pure information,

Is it possible to build a 1080ti/i7/16gbRAM gaming pc for around 2000CAD (without taxes I guess) adding the fact that I wouldn't need an SSD/HDD (would keep the current one) ?

And with the choice of intel going with some crazy i9 wouldn't it be wiser to go for AMD (Ryzen) ? All my previous build were AMD (and it wasn't that great) and I just feel like experiencing Intel for once...

When I open the link it says there is incompatibility on some parts, is it an error ? But that sounds nice and even cheaper than what I thought (if it actually work) !
The "incompatibility" is because the CPU does not come with a cooler. I assumed you'd reuse your 212.

Gonna re-use parts from the previuos build? if yes, you will need only: motherboard + ram + cpu, cooler might have a bracket kit for newer sockets,

Changing teams at the wrong time :D.
For that money you can provable only get the i9 CPU.
Gaming only i7 7700k gonna get you most FPS.
A lot of reviewers said that in a lot of games Ryzen feels smother, provable because i7 has high utilization while gaming(less cores).
R5 1600 gives you best bang for the buck imo.
It's only 10% behind in games and we are talking games that are all released before Ryzen and haven't been patched.
Looking at the FPS increase from games patched for Ryzen FPS increase 20-30%, future looking bright for Ryzen.

Resolution of monitor? If you're at 1080p, get a GTX 1070 or 1080.

I might wanna try a watercooling for the cpu (never used one before really).

I'm from Canada (Montreal), and yea I will only need mb/ram/cpu and cooler I think.

My cpu is at 3.5Ghz and I have no idea about my ram, haven't touch it to be honest I have no idea how to overclock and it is not something I've put interest in :/

Resolution of monitor? If you're at 1080p, get a GTX 1070 or 1080.

1080p 144Hz, I know it's overkill but it is just so I don't have to worry about my gpu for a long time, but yeah I guess a 1080 would do and be a lot cheaper...I'm taking as much information as I can here anyway.
