hey guys right now I'm gunning to a good head set with microphone attached as my wife's complaining on how noisy the bam bam boom boom of bf3 is at night.

I have no Idea about head set as the one I'm using now is a 150 pesos cheap headset from this CD-R King = 3.51$

between those above which one should give me the "Best my money can buy"

Stability
Build Quality
Sound Quality
Comfort
Noise Cancelling (How good it is)

so far I've used Roccat Mouse Kone+ and Alumic Mousepad and I've been happy with it's quality, now I look into their Kave 5.1 but been hearing that it's not worth for the buck you pay for it.

so anyone used any of these and will you please give me some info about which one is a better buy, of course I'll be buying it asap would buy it tomorrow if I find a suitable answer.

also note on this.

also going to be buying this at the same day as the headphone about which UPS.

Ups APC BR1100CI-AS 1100va 660w
PHP 9900.00 = 237.41$
http://www.tipidpc.com/viewitem.php?iid=14826915

Ups FSP EP1000, 1000va 600w
PHP 3500.00 = 81.96$
http://www.tipidpc.com/viewitem.php?iid=14826987

I'll be using this just in case of brown out and the likes, like 10min or so just to give me some time to shut down my pc and save my cad works.

you can see my tech specs on the left side. my system is normally switch on 24 hours 6 days a week, as on the 7th day I turn it off for 30min and then keep it open again, and of course this is only once every 2 weeks.

I'm looking at that APC 1100VA 660W seems like a good buy but I came into thiss FSP EP1000VA 600W is it a better buy?

how good is their quality? so far I know APC is good but sadly it's like alienware (you pay the brand) but overall between the 2 which one would you guys choose?

oh yes I almost forgot, should I go for a lower wattage UPS? and if so why? would it do something against my system if I were to go down to those at 300W or 400W? even if I'll be using it just to power my system when their is brown out enough to save my files and shut down (10min is actually more than enough)

note: Only got FSP and APC as brands that are available (at least that's near my area)

and for APC there are those older white tower models that are available too(since the one above is the black one and it is said that it is the newer model)

do you use the mic often? if not I would suggest that you buy a headphone... I don't play FPS games, I'm more into strategy games like SC2 and Civ IV/V. I'm using a Philips SHP 8900 with an Asus Xonar U2 on my laptop and it sounds great. I think a good set of headphones would give you better sound as compared to a gaming headset for the same/similar price... :)

Audio Technica or Sennheiser headphones. Simulated 5.1 or 7.1 headphones are rubbish, and all those linked look ridiculous. Your wife will think better of you!

I tried using a Sennheiser HD550 once (owned by a friend) and it sounded great but was too pricey for me so I ended up with the Philips. The HD555, is available at some SM Malls... I saw one at MOA the last time I went there although I can't remember the shop (taga Baguio kasi ako di ako masyado nag oout of town)...

I have no idea about UPSs although I'm using an APC 500VA for my lappy and it's been good... =)

since the above post is too long I'll post another.

the HD 555 how much was it? I hope it doesn't fall on this category
earphone: Sennheiser (IE 8)
PHP 20620.00 = 482.90$

how good are philips earphone and headset?

do they fall good in this category(at least 7out of 10 on each category)?

Stability
Build Quality
Sound Quality
Comfort
Noise Cancelling (How good it is)

also anyone got any info on FSP brand for UPS? so far FSP PSU seems like good quality also shown here at tpu.

edit:I found this

Ups, Apc Back-UPS RS-1500VA 865W 230V, BR1500I
PHP 14500.00 = 339.57$
http://www.tipidpc.com/viewitem.php?iid=16581740

but when you open the link on that site
BR1500I
DISCONTINUED : recommended replacement product BR1500GI
that's what it says so is it worth buying that?

and it's updated version is this

(UPS) APC Back-UPS BR1500GI Series
PHP 22900.00 = 536.29$
http://www.tipidpc.com/viewitem.php?iid=16707640

oh I found this, and why is it so expensive

(Headphones ) Sennheiser SH HD 800
PHP 75000.00 = 1756.44$
http://www.tipidpc.com/viewitem.php?iid=16636553

max I would pay for a headset would be 10k and another 10k for UPS at 1000/1100va or if any good 1500va for 15k

10,000 Php = 234.19$
15,000 Php = 351.28$

I have FSP ep-1000 UPS because power outages happens frequently where I live. It works without problems so far. I bough't it 1.5 years ago. I haven't tested how long it runs on batteries, but longest time I allowed it to run on batteries was 5 minutes, to preserve the battery pack.
I advise you to NOT use low power UPS like 300-400w, because I tried that some time ago with the same setup I have now, and it was a huge mistake. Always choose a well known brand and you will save yourself from problems.
Low power UPS:
1)they usually have one small battery inside, which discharges too fast and this leads to deep discharge which leads to short battery life. (And with "discharges too fast", I mean about 40 seconds - tested. It had a standard 12v/7.2Ah battery inside.
2)You can usually use about 70% of it's rated wattage, and even then it is on the edge of overload-turn off. As I already said - I have bad experience with low power UPS (370W). It turned off while I was playing a game and pulled the receptacle from the wall to test it.

If you have the money of course APC is a good choice, they are good and expensive. FSP EP 1500va would be a nice alternative and should be cheaper. FSP makes all kinds of power supplies and they know what they are doing.

wow thank you for that input swap those are really appriciated.

actually before I thought FSP brand was scrap, but so far on their psu although they are on the cheaper part they perform well (4 of my friends have fsp power supply) all were good and 3 of my friends with antec went squat but that doesn't mean antec is bad.

imo for psu I'll go with whatever I can grab my hands

APC Back-UPS = 1100VA 660W if I can get my hands on this

FSP 1000/1500VA which one will be available the day I go there. I guess those should suffice.

also now I've made my mind about the UPS, now anyone got any input for those above? the earphone or headphone, that would give me sound blasting experience?

so far the only sound blasting experience I have heard was on my 150 pesos cd-r king headset. it does sound like explosive (you know those broken sounds and when you got no channel on the radio and stuff) lol it's making weird sound ^_^

Stability = (What do you mean?)
Build Quality = Mines been dropped a couple of times and it still works great.
Sound Quality = I love it for the type of music (I listen to blues/jazz/rock/alternative)/movies/games I listen to/watch/play
Comfort = They're full coverage. My ears feel warm after 4-5 hours of usage. Overall it's very comfortable.
Noise Cancelling (How good it is) = I can't comment too much on this coz it's not that noisy around where I live and work.

I read reviews and user experiences (mostly from head-fi) before I bought my 8900. The main reason I bought my Philips was because it was way cheaper than the HD555. I bought mine around a year ago. A shop here at Baguio had the HD555 for around 7.5k PhP and the SHP8900 was 3.8k PhP when I bought it. Some of the threads I read at head-fi also recommended buying the SHP8900/9000 over the HD555. I just couldn't justify the price for the HD555 based on the threads/reviews/user feedback I read around the net.

The HD555 is available at any Power Mac Center, Digital Walker or Digital Hub according to some users at TPC. I think they're also available at Berleins if your local SM has one. They sell a lot of Sennheisers and Audio Technicas here in Baguio... :)

I just got the Sennheiser PC350s. Holy trippin' ass shit... you WILL not find a better sounding headset by the gaming brands... not even close... just tried my friend's steelseries (forgot the model, but it was high end steelseries) and almost shat out purple vomit in disgust. Doesnt even compare. You want quality, theres no choice but sennheiser. they are to the headphone world what snap-on is to the tools world. no second thinking neccesary.
