Access point question

Hey guys!

I want to connect my Xbox 360 to live but The Mrs. does not want a black Ethernet cable running through the apartment floor. I did not want to spend $60+ on a stupid wireless adapter and decided to research alternatives. Found a WRT-something option but it sound too complicated and found something on access points on this video.

Would this be able to work on a Dlink WBR-2310 as a Client and a Netgear WGT624 v4?

Not all routers support what he is describing. Unfortunately, I do not know if the ones you mentioned do. You can look up their features as well as I can.

No... I have a 30ft Ethernet cable but the Mrs. doesn't like it to be notice...

Have you considered running it under the carpet?

That's if you have carpet of course.

There used to be a lot of really cheap ways to get the xbox360 connected to the internet, but it seems like all of them are not up in the $60+ range.

I remember a good alternative was using ethernet over powerlines bridges, but even those are now $30 a piece, and you need a pair, I picked up a set 6 or 8 months ago for $30...

That should give you the bridge mode you are looking for, that was described in the video, and it about half the price of the official xbox adaptor.

got the other router and was not able to do what the video shows... Grrr...
