Hopefully that MSRP is designed to be perpertually on sale as part of the usual sales tactics and this thing ends up at the front of the page when sorting by lowest price first.

We're at the point with mainstream SSDs where almost all of them perform fine, so cost per GB is all that matters and this is 20% worse than the established, big-brand alternatives.

Do you want to buy the real deal from a company that has 15 years of SSD expertise and a flawless track-record, or do you want to overpay for three layers of rebranding and a controller without a proven track-record from a company who only make low-end commodity parts for OEMs most of the time?

At 9c/GB this stands a chance, simply by showing up in the list ahead of the competition when people click "sort by price, ascending". At 12c/GB this is a dead product, period.
