Acrylic or PETG Tubing?

Hi people.

I am Rebuilding my PC and this time for the Watercooling Loop i want to use Hard Tubing instead soft, i saw that there is Acrylic and PETG Tubing, could someone tell me which one would be better and what is the difference between those?


Are these the tools I need?

One is plastic, and one is glass?
Better is what you want to use. Both have all the fittings and things to make them work, just depends on which way you choose to go.

There is a lot of information out there.... google something like Acrylic vs PETG and have a read/watch at what others who have played with both can tell you.

i am not the only one in here who has a Watercooling System I gave the priority to TechPowerUp over Google

Petg and it is a plastic ,is harder than acrylic yet not as brittle and easier to work with ,i like it personally.

Compared to acrylic it's night and day easier to use but hasn't as msny colour's, it is however very scratch resistant ,Petg.

• Read the manual, use Google, Bing, etc.; don't be lazy. Do some research yourself, if your question can be answered by Google in about 2 seconds you're better off googling.

In my experience PETG is a lot easier to work with, it doesn't have the cracking issues that acrylic has. After using PETG I'll never go back to Acrylic.

now my concern is: can i use 1/4" Thread with that Tubing?

@Knoxx29 the reason why I say to google is that not all acrylic or PETG is created equal. As for the Tt gear, I have heard good things about the tube, and horror stories on their fittings. I feel you may want a larger sample than the possible ten or so members here who have tried any of it to direct you to a less stressful assembly of all parts.

I know when you give me an advice is for a good reason i have enough EKWB fittings at home in case i need a few more i can order them on Amazon
