Activision: will they ruin PGR??

just browsing after seeing the SOF3 pics and it put my heart in my mouth, Activision has bought bizzare creations and plans a new PGR. im a huge fan of the first 3 and don't think there is much to improve apart from being able to tune your cars, read on if you dare extreme PGR fans!!

I just dont like pc racing games, i found the simbin ones too realistic to be fun, and other more gamey ones (like need for speed etc) to be lame in comparison to Gran Turismo/PGR/Forza

Get the Drifting mod for GTR2, can be found somewhere on RSC's forums (I hate those forums, slow, limited usefulness, and terrible search... but it's the only place I can find things to dl for GTR/GTR2 that aren't 6 months old), it's awesome, fun, and difficult to control, but that's what makes it fun.

But yeah, I see what you mean, Race, GTR, GTR2, are the only games of those I've played, too realistic to be fun. Though I find Gran Turismo too stupid (make up your minds, GT1/2/4 feature cars too easy to turn for their weight and power, GT3 and Tokyo show were too difficult to turn rear wheel drive cars without traction control, spinning their wheels off, and burning rubber around the whole corner, always wanted to go straihgt into the wall), it is fun to race against 5 other AI idiots for a whole 2 hour race, without that supreme realistic side of GTR/GTR2/Race. But I do wish they added damage.

Yep, PC racing games are shite. Take Colin McRae Dirt for instance, its great on the 360, but runs like a 3 legged dog on the PC
