I've been planning a 400$ system overhaul for a few months and I might be jumping soon. The 8800gt goes to a gtx275 (180 shipped), and the e6750 goes to a q9550 (220 shipped). I already have a p35 and 4x1 gigs of ram. I'm going to have to reformat for this build, and I think it would be a crime to use 32bit vista rather than 64 on this build. Unfortunately, my usb wireless adapter only has 32bit support, so I'll have to buy a new one. All my pci slots are filled so it has to be a usb adapter, but other than that, anything could be considered an option. I want the price to be reasonable, but it's flexible if the cost could be justified. I'm relatively far away from the router, two floors and some distance over. The router is the one given to me by verizon, so I don't see any reason to have too much brand loyalty. I figured I'd just go and get a new linksys one like my current one, but many of the reviews said it could cause high latencies in games or drop the signal a lot. Does anyone have any advice? A particular model they've had good luck with?
As a side note, I have an odd configuration where I have 3 monitors hooked up, the 8800gt and a 6200 in a pci slot. Would there be any reason that a transition to 64 bit or the gtx275 could break my configuration?
