Ok so I got in my new parts (i.e. motherboard, ram, etc) and I was wondering whether it is safe to apply new thermal compound (AS5) to the heatsinks?
By doing so am I voiding the warranty?
Also if I reapply thermal compound immediately and say, realize the mobo is DOA am I screwed since I messed with it?

CPU heatsink = warranty intact, NB/SB = warranty possibly void :(

But TBH, they wont even know youve touched it if you dont tell them (the store/site you got the parts from) in the event of you needing to return/RMA one of your parts ;)

haha for sure

LOL, its the same with graphics cards...if you overclock them too much and kill them (RIP 9800Pro :) ) but RMA them anyway as they cant tell if its been overclocked ;)
