Hi guys,

I'm building a rig around a Gigabyte GA-X99-DESIGNARE mobo. These are the components I've already got -

Intel i7 6850k lag 2011-v3
Corsair vengeance lpx 4x8gb 3200mhz (CMK32GX4M4B3200C16)
Asus gtx 1080ti rog strix oc 11gb gddr5x
Asus xonar essence stx 2
Samsung 850 evo 1tb

Are there any possible issues with compatibility? Appreciate any advice or tips before I order the mobo.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
I don't see a power supply...

Are you an audiophile or have a good set of speakers/cans? I wouldn't spend on a different sound card until you at least try the onboard. They are pretty good and satisfy most people pretty easily.

Looks good otherwise.

Oh yes, lol, forgot the PSU It's a corsair 1500ax. Will I need to get a BIOS update via USB?

Why 1500w psu? Lol...

A quality 650w unit is plenty. Return it and get $100 back in your pocket...

A 650w to run those components on highest 4k settings?

A 650w to run those components on highest 4k settings?

It's all future proofed anyway so I don't have to touch it for a good five years. Appreciate the advice all the same.

You can run THREE of your current system on that PSU.

If you plan on going SLI with the 1080Ti, grab an 850W PSU.

This isn't future proofing, buying a 1.5KW PSU for a system that would barely break 500W overclocked. Its a monumental waste of cash. You wouldn't have to touch a 650W PSU in 5 unless you added a GPU (hence why I said 850W - nearly half of what you bought).

Never understood why people come here to ask AFTER... get here BEFORE so things like this don't happen!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
