Although i aim to 1440p if i can build a machine to 1200€ that can run 4k the better, I don't have preferred brands, i want performance/price

Just so you know... playing a game on your TV at a non native resolution (4K UHD / 3840x2160), it will appear a bit fuzzy. So, IMO, I would save a bit more and get a card that can run games better at that resolution... something like an RTX 2080 or higher. The 5700 XT can do it, however you will need to turn down some settings.Although i aim to 1440p if i can build a machine to 1200€ that can run 4k the better, I don't have preferred brands, i want performance/price

To be honest i have been playing ps4 for many years, now decided to build a gaming pc to play multi games, the ones i like sekiro, res2, uncharted, tlou, death stranding, the witcher, batman, Spiderman, god of war, etc
I know but its that type of games, i know 4k is most demanding and the budget isn't hightUncharted is a PS exclusive.

To be honest i play arround 20/30 hours per week, so i will be using it a lot, i'm trying to build a machine .to last two years minimumAMD will add to the 5700XT rtx technology enabled via software. No one knows if they will do it for other cards also. This is speculated for the end of this year.
You are golden with the 5700xt. I would not even look twice at the nvidia cards
You can even consider getting something cheaper than the above mentioned. Just something that will work for right now, and get the RTX native AMD card next year.
The RX 590 is an amazing price right now. You can even go for the 580 and won't have any regrets. The Rx 580 is around 190$, amazing value.
Consider that my rig holds Borderlands 3 at 2k steady, and the rest of the lot. So there you have it.
I am really pushing for the idea that whatever is out right now, for me it's not worth the investment. But hey, i have something to game on right now, and you don't.
Thing is most benchmarks that you see on youtube etc. differ from real life. In real life you can tweak the settings around from Ultra to the point where your eye can't tell the difference but the rig will output up to 20fps more. That is a huge difference and a lot of saved money.
@Fgroia i get what you're trying to do here. Clearly, when people consider gaming on a TV it's for fun, and casual gaming. Even if in some games you won't hold 60, you will never ever tell the difference in real life.
Ask yourself if you're gonna game on TV for more than 20 hours a week. You will find the 5700Xt to be an overkill. Save your money.

My tv its 55, 2/3 meters of distance, i know that 4k maximum quality takes more cost but has i said earlier if i can get 60 frames with good quality graphics i'm happyWhat's the size of the tv, what's the distance from the tv at which you will be playing, and how's your vision?
Answers to those question can say a lot about whether you'll even see much of a difference in 4k.
That's important, because chasing 4K means at least several hundred $ more in hadware cost.

You could always render at 1440p and scale it to 4K via the GPU with something like Radeon Image Sharpening on 5700XT. With 3 meters distance you probably wouldn't even notice the difference and you'd keep performance level from 1440p.My tv its 55, 2/3 meters of distance, i know that 4k maximum quality takes more cost but has i said earlier if i can get 60 frames with good quality graphics i'm happy

Cant be more agreed to this...Sorry... what? Are you talking about upscaling to 4K from a 1080p (lower than 4k) source? Not a fan of running anything not at the native res...
That also isn't how DLSS works. Upscaling and DLSS are two different things, no? One is simple hardware upscaling while the other (DLSS) is based on AI...
This could be much better... but isnt the other way arround? render at high and downscale to lower? I mean the capability of AMD drivers...You could always render at 1440p and scale it to 4K via the GPU with something like Radeon Image Sharpening on 5700XT. With 3 meters distance you probably wouldn't even notice the difference and you'd keep performance level from 1440p.

There is though, some tvs have that option, and nvidia added integer scaling for Turing.Cant be more agreed to this...
Running the source resolution out of monitor's/TV's native res will blur the image so much... and there is no hardware or software existing to compensate that. Simply nothing can. Its just plain physical disagreement of pixels. Probably more than half pixels of that 8+million (4K) will blur between 2 or more colors trying to display whats what... no no!
I prefer going with 1080p eyes closed, than this mess.

Integer scaling is intended for 2D games, not 3D content. There is though, some tvs have that option, and nvidia added integer scaling for Turing.
Also, I found this: https://store.steampowered.com/app/993090/Lossless_Scaling/
According to comments, it works.
If you can get it to work, both 1080p and 720p will translate nicely to 4k, 4 and 9 pixels per pixel respectively.
