advice on cheap but good fans

I have some Yate Loon D12SM-12 fans rated at 1650rpm and 70.5cfm that I got for $7 each.

Connected to a fan controller they very quiet at high and almost silent at low.

Haha, well i have used these fans since 2006/2007 and not one of them has died on me yet and none of them have gone slow or noisy. I cant see the sense in buying expensive fans when these do the job!

A little light reading:
120mm Fan Roundup: 1350 RPM or Lower Rotation Speed
120mm Fan Roundup: 1350 RPM and Higher Rotation Speeds
Just FYI: I put one of the Corsair AF120 1650 rpm fans in the back of one of my cases. It is the first fan that I've used that I can feel a column of air moving behind the case. Much better than the Scythe S-FLEX "G" fans that I've tried in the past, and quieter.
