(Sorry for all the new threads I'm opening..)

Today I spent some time with my client (that I am building the computer for) and he was showing me the ins and outs of photography and I plan to get into that some day, I'm actually starting to download my software for me and him as we I type this up... I couldn't believe how I felt when I did my first picture but anyway sorry with the rambling... will my current set up do me good? (My system specs are in the system specs on the side) I am 100% sure I am getting more HDDs actually going to save this 750GB one I have for my games and then getting 2TB hard drives for my photos... I plan to do some where around 5000 a month so yea I am going to get a lot of stuff... Software I am going to use are : Photoshop and light room primarily... but in the case that this current system I have doesn't live up to the job then I will post it up on craigslist or sell it off some where as a gaming computer. But in case that it doesn't hold up I put together a quick list of parts that I think will suffice for my new gaming computer / personal work station... what do you guys think of the parts. (see links below)

Budget no more then $800

CPU : i5 - 750

Intel Core i5-750 Lynnfield 2.66GHz 8MB L3 Cache L...

Mobo : EVGA p55

EVGA P55V 120-LF-E651-TR LGA 1156 Intel P55 Micro ...

RAM : Geil 2 X 2GB

GeIL Black Dragon 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM...

GPU : GTX 460 Fermi Super clocked 768MB DDR5 Or a GTX 260 896MB DDR3

EVGA 768-P3-1360-TR GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 768MB ... (gtx 460)

Recertified: EVGA 896-P3-1260-RX GeForce GTX 260 8... (GTX 260)

Case : Cooler Master HAF 922

COOLER MASTER HAF 922 RC-922M-KKN1-GP Black Steel ...

PSU : Corsair 650TX

CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready...

Heat Sink : Coolermaster hyper 212+

http://www.performance-pcs.com/cata...oduct_info&cPath=46_557_777&products_id=25876

With GTX 460 : $787.89 With GTX260 : $735.45

I am also kind of confused with the GPU if I should get the 260 or the 460 not really sure need help deciding with that... also with the Mobo CPU RAM Heatsink PSU I feel really confident with those... but can some one refer me to a cheaper Case w/ a nice PSU or just a cheaper case in general? I like the other parts but always a cheaper case that does the job is nice.

This is my second gaming computer would like to know how you guys feel about it, and what you guys like / dislike. Again thank you for the help that I know you guys will give me.

I can vouch for the 922. It's the best case that I have owned to date. They provide tons of room and professional cable management options. I will say that the rig in your specs will more than likely handle any photo project you may through at it. Especially after making the enhancements that you have highlighted in your specs. I would save your money and upgrade your GPU and heatsink and use what you have already.

Yes. Lol, why wouldn't it? My old s754 system is good enough for photography. Invest in a good camera if anything.

^ I second that. Your computer is more than capable. By yourself a decent DSLR.

(since u guys say not to build a new keep the current 1 then i wont build it) but that one will it be more then enough for gaming needs? maybe a client comes along and i have a rocksolid build awaiting and i just gotta buy it no research.

Use that computer for yourself and sell your current rig to a customer. ;) I'm just wondering what makes you think that wouldn't be a good build for gaming?

To be honest, gaming is in most cases entirely dependent on your GPU. Your other specs don't really matter as much. And the GTX 460 is a beast of a gaming card. So yes, that build would be a decent gaming rig. Any high end GPU paired with a recent tech processor=decent gaming performance.
-If you really think you need to. I personally say to save your money and just by a newer graphics card for yourself. Your current rig will certainly handle most games available today. Maybe not maxed out but a 460 will remedy some of those problems if not most.

Also found another sku of the evga 460 comes with 200MHz shader faster then the other 460's for only 10$ more why not right? :D

Yeah, but what about the flash? The Manfrottos? The 50mm lens? Waterproof casing? Good bag? Your rig is good, save your money for more gears for now.

I think you are better off waiting for an exceptional deal to come along if you are upgrading, or if you can get rid of your current one for good money.

The PSU you listed has 3 12v rails, 12v3 is rated for 25A and is what the PCIe connectors draw their current from (according to JonnyGuru's review). You are fine.

30$ more and change this 460 to zotac 460 1G it's really awesome, extreme 460 performance with high overclock range and good cooling, also there is a great option in future which is another one like and do SLI
