Aeolus Gamer Storm designed a variant of its Dracula GPU heatsink for AMD Radeon HD 7970 graphics card. The heatsink is designed to handle thermal loads of up to 250W, when outfitted with fans. The heatsink design consists of a nickel-plated copper base (this particular variant has a circular bump where the GPU die makes contact), with the appropriate mount-hole spacing for HD 7970. Through this base, six 6 mm-thick nickel-plated copper heat-pipes pass, the opposite ends of these heat pipes pass through two aluminum fin stacks. Tests show that when fitted with two 80 mm fans spinning at 1,800 RPM, the Dracula keeps load temperatures of the HD 7970 about 35 degrees Celsius cooler than AMD reference fan-heatsink.

Looks like it will be triple slot with fans... Not nice for crossfire.

These coolers suck as they don't cool VRM's at all. Or if they do, you get separate crappy aluminium heatsinks that tend to fall off after 5 minutes...
Why can't they make an additional plate that would cover VRM's properly? What's the point of having such massive cooler if VRM can't keep up the GPU?

A picture with it on the card would have been nice.

VRM cooling options available for this thing? Doesn't look like it would be possible with that thing mounted.

I say go with a spitfire and custom dremel a vrm5 cooler like I did for my 6970 here.

My GPU temp never goes over 45c gaming with it over clocked to 1Ghz 1.225V. My VRMs never go over 45c during gaming and my memory with little heat sinks on them run at about 57c hottest during gaming.

I game for hours at a time too not light gaming.

That's with only a single fan blowing on them and it sits in the antec 1200 case window.
