After Adding New M.2 drive MB Will Not Post... with or without drive

I went to the store to get an m.2 drive today...and when I went to turn on my computer...it didn't post...no image ot anything. (Was working perfectly fine earlier) and the powerbutton turns on the system...but doesn't turn it off. I have taken the drive out and still getting the issue. anyone can help ?

Also, were you properly grounded? Sounds like you possibly shorted out the motherboard or knocked something loose when installing the M.2 drive.

Of course without further information I'm just taking a wild a$$ guess as to some possibilities.

Where is the M2 slot located on your motherboard? You might have hit something with your hand and loosened something up.


Regardless, we really need more information.

Go back to basics. Is the power cord plugged in and the PSU switch ON?

Sometimes it can be werid things like these that is the issue. Easy to forget the power cord.

man i pictured it was a component that was knocked off the mobo and then i saw your respose , ahhh lets hope he just forgot the power supply switch is off, lol
