After reset. It's from an indie studio.

After Reset RPG - an old-school sci-fi apocalyptic roleplaying game inspired by such video games as Fallout 1/2, Baldur’s Gate and Planescape: Torment.

I've been keeping my eyes on it. At this point, I am not sure how it is going to turn out, so I've yet to put any money into their kickstarter.

The concept arts are good. Screenshots are meh.

I know it is years old but I have to say. These guys are pretty shady. I backed them on Kickstarter but they are a year late on their promised ETA and all they have is extremely early feature lacking tech demo...

Damn. Heed my warning. Don't buy this on Steam. Waste of complete money. The dev loves to lock and kick people out also.

That's too bad. I checked some of the videos and was impressed.

So they have talent but perhaps also unrealistic plans, were not disciplined in their schedule, or reasons out of their control as to why it's taking so long. I've checked 'Follow' in case there is any updates later on.

There has been increasing tensions among backers and the devs. Backers and steam customers asking what's going on, why no updates and whatnot, the dev's answers have been either "We are working on it, blah blah" or ban those who they dislike.

Dev claims it's almost ready which has been repeated for some months now.

I've just looked on Steam and seen that they want £30 - that's top dollar for this garbage.

Well, it's pretty much a price of an AAA title.

.... For an early alpha tech demo where you can only walk around in 2 or 3 rooms.

... It does have nice intro, fully voiced intro mind you!!!

........
.....
LOL, I feel like I've been ripped off. I probably am.

Yeah, that's not a nice feeling, is it? :ohwell: If it helps any I feel your pain.

I remember when they first brought out early access games thinking that things like this could happen so I steered clear of them. Over time my suspicions proved founded as I heard more and more stories like this, with some even worse.

I'll add them to my wishlist if they look interesting however, with the possibility of buying them if they're ever released and have good reviews.

Not a nice feeling for sure but I've backed about dozen of games on Kickstarter so far and this is the only dud, so I will probably keep backing other indie games. But the dud turns out to be the most expensive one also ...
You can see that from my screenshots...

That all started when they released the tech demo. Basically it was $50 for fucking nothing, everybody said that was bullshit, the words "$50 is a reasonable price" were uttered by the devs, nothing much has happened since.

And the funny and perhaps ironic thing about the tech demo was that it was released on April 1st. :D

The whole thing is a big damn joke.

Comical update: Dev is unpleased with a loading screen artwork and therefore he's unsure when the next patch will be released.

Who the f cares about a loading screen artwork when the game is a tech demo. This comes 2 weeks later after the dev was "counting days" before next big patch.

That's merely the excuse one makes when in actuality you have no idea what to do next or when you'll release.

God, this is a shit-show.

Who knows, it could be a decent game when it releases, but right now it's chaos and shit.

An update was released few days ago.

Again, do not buy this f- crap. The guy wasted 6 months and what I have on top of the tech demo is 2 ~ 5 minutes of added game play without any sort of dialog. The guy spent 6 months of "hard work" and managed to add only 2 ~ 5 minutes of gameplay. Now instead of being locked in the first room, you can actually venture forward after healing yourself with a kit. You get to explore 3 more rooms or so before there is a force shield you can't get past.

Bullcrap. 6 months for this and the game has been in development for 2 years.

I'd ask him for an interview, but he'd probably say no.

Looks to me like a typical case of mismanagement and poor priorities. This is why I don't back on Kickstarter any more. I'd rather pay the full price when the game releases at the end of the road.

EDIT: God if I got an interview this would be a total juice story, especially with an interview with a "backer" (yourself). People love nothing more than a dubious kickstarter story.

EDIT EDIT: It's more than just one guy, their team is a dozen or two strong.

another Dev team who used all the kickstarter money on hookers and blow. Now they need you to all buy the graphic novel so they can continue their party.
