My cousin has an old board , but his 6600gt broke. Does anyone have an agp card that is better ?
Bump for you
I wouldn't hesitate to do buisness with this guy
I really think it is time to tell your cousin it is time to upgrade the whole computer, the 6600GT is the sign...
While this is a good point, where are you located?
I think I have an x800 256mb agp at the store....
I have a 3850 AGP. Top of the line board you can get on AGP. We can deal if you live in the US.
Wow, those are the best cards for AGP. I think Sapphire was the only company that even made it.
But that price is not far from a new 3850 512mb:
ahh, that is true. I was not aware that the price of agp 3850s has dropped so low. They held their value for quite a long while.
I am sure you could probably haggle the guy down to $50~55 though.
What about this $3650 for $55:
I have found 3850's in buy/sell/trade forums for $65 shipped. So they are out there for pretty good prices considering they are so rare.
Beware of the drivers on the 3850 though, because some people say its hit or miss with motherboard compatibility despite the official AGP 8x support.
I would probably get a 3850 but that's probably out of his price range. He really just needs a card to run some old source games.
and powercolor. i had one wouldn't recommend it, it was really loud
Im looking in the price range of about $45 shipped. Anyone have suggestions?
I have a 6800nu somewhere. How much would that be worth to you?
Well Im looking for something that's better than what he currently has. I know its tough to find AGP cards these days but their inst much difference between he 6800nu and 6600gt. Thanks for the reply though.
