Its possible, is AHCI compilant with windows xp¿

I ran it on Xp, didn't notice a difference. It's also possible to enable w/o an OS re-install, I posted instructions somewhere on this forum for another member years ago...I'll see if I can dig that up for ya if you really feel the need to try it out. Features like NCQ make it sound promising, but you won't notice a difference via "seat of the pants" or at least I didn't. I'll see if I can find that link for ya.
