Air cooler for AMD Ryzen 2600x/3600x/5600x

I am looking for an air cooler and have £65 to use.

I have a Ryzen 5 2600x running on an Asrock B450 steel legend and using the wraith spire cooler at the moment.
I tryed my best to look at air coolers and did like the look on the Dark Rock Pro 4, 250W TDP version so placed an order for it from amazon but now im not sure if its worth the price or not lol?

If anyone knows of anything better please let me know

the dark rock pro 4 is a good looking and solid cooler but the mounting system is awful.
the nocuta NH U12S is a very decent cooler (it even works well enough on a 5900X) you have the by far best mounting system and you get free upgrade kits for every new socket as long as it is physically possible to mount the cooler on it. (even the decade old NH D14 gets an LGA 1700 Kit completely free of charge)

Scythe Fuma 2 is also a pretty solid option in that price range.

EDIT: Nevermind, just checked Amazon and it’s actually above 65 now. It used to be a little cheaper, I got mine for 70€ which is under 65£.

I did have the NH-D14 in my old PC but that went to my nephew when i picked up this PC for cheap so i am looking for something to replace the wraith cooler.

I would love to get the NH-D15 but it's around £90 or more from most places and i can't push no more than £65

I did look at the Scythe fuma 2 aswell as some of you have mentioned and it also looks good so i might try find more info and benchmarks and see what is best overall.

I might end up with a free upgrade soon to a 3600XT and depending how things go over the next year or 2 i might also end up with a free 5600x so just looking for something to cover all of that and keep temps as low as possible

Anything without RGB is better for me to as i hate RGB stuff

I've got a Noctua NH-U9S mounted on my 5900x. Works just well enough for my case (other, beefier air coolers tend to be just a touch too tall to allow me to mount the top fan on my HAF XB Evo case) to keep the 5900x in the high 80s when she's doing heavy work loads (several hours of transcoding). If you have a case with poor air flow, I wouldn't recommend using this for a 5900x, but a less TDP CPU it should work just fine for.

For a 2600x/3600x/5600x CPU, it should work just fine. Another option to look over.

Went for the ID-COOLING SE-225-XT Black and managed to get it for £44.99

I will get around to installing the cooler later today or tomorrow, my sister poped in with her kid yesterday so i let my nephew play some VR and Assetto Corsa on the t300rs wheel lol
It was rather funny watching him trying to drive with the wheel hehe

Had another random busy day so the new cooler is going to be installed when i wake up tomorrow

I decided to run Cinebench R23 and see what the temps would be after 10 mins using the current AMD wraith prism.
Not bad but i think this new cooler will drop them temps by a good 10c or more maybe hehe

Will update this tomoz once new cooler is installed and post a new pic

also running windows 11 btw

I think you will be disappointed. Don't underestimate that Wraith cooler. It is very good for what it is. I put a Thermalright TP140 with a 100cfm fan on my 3950X and temps only went down a few degrees, and I consider that combo better than the cooler you bought.
I'm interested in seeing your results.

Well i finally fitted the new cooler and i am very happy with it already after a 10 min run of cinebench

My room is also warmer today than it was the other day when i did the 10 min run on the wraith cooler.

Overall temps have droped in many places so i am happy

Nice upgrade on your cpu cooling. We have the same CPU and I use a Deepcool Gammaxx 400 V2 Blue. For sure much less noise and quite a better cooling on hot days that the stock one.

I have that one. Mounting system for Intel CPUs sucks though. I think AMD's has proper screws so that's good.

Similar results to when I switched from the 3600's stock to the SE-224-XT Black. I went from 75-77c to 60-63c under load.

Thank you and yeah pc is much quieter and temps have droped by 9c on the CPU with a warmer room than the other day when i put the wraith prism under load.

All other temps also seem to have droped by a fair bit to, so defo mega happy with this purchase

and have to thank @sneekypeet for mentioning it.
