Akasa today introduced the AK-CC1110EP01, a low-profile CPU cooler capable of handling thermal loads of up to 65 W, and supporting AMD sockets AM5 and AM4. The cooler features a classic top-flow design, with an extruded aluminium monoblock heatsink, and a low-profile 80 mm fan. The heatsink is made entirely of copper, and comes with a pre-applied TIM. The factory-fitted 80 mm fan is just 10.8 mm thick, takes in 4-pin PWM connection, turns at speeds ranging between 600 to 3,000 RPM, pushing up to 26.53 CFM of airflow, at 1.81 mm H₂O static-pressure, and up to 27.09 dBA noise output. Measuring 80 mm x 80 mm x 41.3 mm, the cooler weighs 222 g. The company didn't reveal pricing.

The heatsink is made entirely of copper
As quoted from their own website:
Hi-engineered heatsink is made from quality aluminium alloy for sensationally effective cooling
Using google translate on other news sites that are in Russian or Japanese, also mention aluminium only. No mention of copper.

Hopefully TPUs next hire will do a better job than this "veteran" here.

This looks a lot like an AM3/AM3+ cooler. For those keeping score at home, those are compatible too. Don't throw out your old AM3/AM3+ coolers, they're all compatible! I know this because I just tested one on an X470 board last week!

this look like a Socket A cooler, over 20 years ago there where a lot of heatsink like this, before the introduction of the heatpipes with the Cooler Master HHC-001.
I really don't understand why this mast be a first page news...

Just stick with the stock cooler. Why waste money on this? It is low profile, I get it. But it is not going to cool well, especially for AM5.

Akasa commercials coolers are mehh

Tho, Akasa "enterprise coolers" are much different story

For example, their "AK-955V2" which in design is just "another intel stock look-a-like"
- almost 0,47KG weight
- 120W TDP
- for LGA 115x / 1200

had one of those on my 9400F for 2 years, amazing thing in a sff case

I think that it will work just fine because here's the Akasa AK-CC1110EP01:

and here's the original AMD Wraith box cooler which was used on the 125W Phenom II X4 940:

It just looks like a short version of the original AMD Wraith cooler and should work just fine for modern (non-125W) AMD CPUs. The question is of course, "What will it cost?" because you could just use the Arctic Alpine 23 for all of $15USD or $15CAD.

It claims to work on 105W TDP CPUs. I don't know if I would believe that but I can personally attest to the fact that this cooler works fine on the 65W 8-core R7-1700 without issue. Like all AMD coolers that attach to the standard AMD brackets without the need for a backplate, it fits all AMD sockets from AM2 to AM5.
