Alice: Madness Returns

I have to say that even though it's not groundbreaking graphically, the atmosphere and creativity is fantastic. Once I fell into wonderland I was completely awed. My wife was equally amazed at how beautiful and deep it was.

The mechanics are very smooth, as is the camera. The action camera is very fluid and doesn't hinder gameplay in my opinion. Nothing is worse than a bad camera angle blocking your view and killing you...

I have been playing on PC in widescreen** and I love it. It's one of the first games to not bore me in a long time. I'm playing with a PS3 controller in xbox360 emulation mode (I hate 360 controllers) which works perfectly. I tried with keyboard and mouse, which is my usual favorite, but found the ps3 controller to be much smoother and more accurate.

Anyhow: just wanted to say that I'm loving this game so far. I'm curious to hear what other people have to say about it. I tried digging up threads on it, but only found some that were made before its release.

Its a great game, bought it when it was on sale on amazon, unfortunately, due to my League of Legends addiction, this game, among others are put to the wayside until I get sick of LoL. Haven't gotten very far yet, but I am really liking what I'm seeing thus far. Only complaint is the shoddy mouse look, has some weird acceleration to it.

I agree on the mouse look. Try playing with xbox360/ps3 controller or any analog controller. I use ps3 controller with 360 emulation (motionjoy driver). It is very smooth and controls are fluid. You won't look back.

There must be people who "get" this game. I have no history with it, and I do! It crosses a few game genres in the process, and it's just a lot of fun. Not hardcore like BF or COD I'll admit.... but a blast none the less. The only other game I'm rocking right now that is different like this is Hydrophobia Prophecy, but again, in a different way. Alice is way cool though...... sorry to sound like a reviewer, but Alice gets two thumbs up!

If you are an American McGee's Alice fan then you will absolutely love this game. It is the perfect Wonderland game. Dark and evil, but has a beautiful side to it.

I can assure you it's basically one big psychedelic trip. Just like the books...

I've been on the fence about this game, whether or not to get it now. I've been a little busy with others atm. I still have to finish up the first game...I remember it just being ridiculous in terms of it's strangeness and artistic variety. I'll probably snag this when it comes down a little in price.

Only thing I dont want about it, is the non existent animation of turning around.. press and move forward, then press back would make alice face behind instantly lol. Removes the immersiveness imo..

Whoa that's a weird glitch. I haven't seen anything like that yet. Have you looked it up to see if it's a known problem?

Just had a quick look and didn't see anything mentioning this issue.
Apparently there is a patch though.
But I can not find it.
All I could find in google is trainers, and cracks on the game.
I decided not to install EA DLM as well.
Had major troubles in the past with that application when updating an EA product.

*edit, nevermind it's not a patch I have. I was thinking of a different game. I have some kind of fix that I found though for my eyefinity. Let me see if I can dig up all the files I have.
