I am a huge fan of Alphacool products. They have never disappointed. I have the Eiswolf on a Vega 64 and am getting over 1700 MHZ with the latest driver. I can only imagine what the VII will do. The best benefit of Vega for Water cooling is that the Memory and GPU are so close together the block covers both.

They are one of the few who make complete cover blocks for AIB cards

Being a single slot waterblock fan this is subjectively big, bulky, and ugly. But if it works well that can certainly be overlooked for some systems.

If I where to pull the trigger on this (and that mean I'd need a V7) I would really need more on what they provide as the thermal interface between PCB components; VRM and the other component they cool. I'd want to see the channel and flow inside, and get Flir images of stock and with this install. I just wonder how the sandwich that effectively negates the air flow over the PCB a components is actually better.

Alphacool is usually pretty good, but on their VPP755, if you use pastel liquids (EK,Mayhems, TT's ripoff, Swiftech), it will void your warranty, and they added that only after they found out that it would damage the pump, and they won't reimburse ppl. Cheap pumps tho, personally i like watercool (sexy res), swiftech(good and cheap pump & fittings), and EK (only for supremacy MX), and Hardwarelabs (best in class rads), and mayhems (best tube and OEM for swiftech and EK fluids)

By the time you stick a fan on this it will be 2.5 - 3 slots wide.

That is not how this works
And that is why it is a waste of money.
Relying on heat transfer through an aluminium block just isn't good enough for a high end card, it needs active cooling on ALL areas.

I have an Alphacool Eiswolf on one my Vega 64s. If you don't know how they work the pump resides right in the block which on mine has a copper base. It does not use air but water to cool the components and the block does cover the entire area, including the VRMs. The fans are attached to the radiator which cools the liquid in the loop. I used this on a XFX Reference Vega 64 and it is thinner than the cooler on that card. It also runs the GPUs at 34-50 C when gaming. I have yet to see a water block for any card that uses fans on the GPU itself.

New Alphacool NexXxoS V.2 radiators are more acceptable look then previous version and better for draining loop.
