Exactly, it does depend on the game and how each dev tools the RTRT features. Not the fault of NVidia if some of them don't get it quite right. But even with games that didn't get it just right(Battlefield 5 anyone?), it's still something that stands out.
We see it all the time, some people think that it is the graphic card who's making the game, but not. It's just a tool who's doing what it has to do depending on the instructions it receives. What's sure, for the same instructions, the best the tool the best the result.

I have an RTX 3070 since Friday... I just can say the gap is really there coming from a GTX1060 3Gb and for me I've made a good upgrade quality/price moreless at the level of the rest of my system.
In 3D Mark 11 I've double my score...
Assetto Corsa looks absolutely nice now, same for F1 2019, Dirt Rally 2.0 and Project Cars 2. Basically what I play. I'll start again my Crysis saga to see the improvment too and enjoying it with better graphics.

Lindatje, you prefer AMD? Your choice but please argue a bit better than "Problem is that many users (not all) who have an NVIDIA RTX card have to defend their purchase", I'm far away from that.
Surely the new AMDs graphic cards are powerful, but my concern comes with the RT as it seems to be one of the technology who will be used in the next games generation and AMD has been discret during their launching about it, how we have to take that? Then it seems NVidia GSync goes better than AMD Freesync, that another point for NVidia as example.
