AM3+ 4GB/s A-Link Express 3

So I was reading the FX-8350 page on the CPU DB and I saw a little line under the SB/NB link graphical representation, in the expansions slots graphic, saying that some board may use PCIE 2.0 x8 instead of the standard x4 for the chipset interconnect.
So is there actually any AM3+ boards that do use an x8 link instead of the x4 ?

If they're out there, it's way over the grade of either AMD 970 board I picked up. Maybe 990FX?

As an AMD believer, I used a lot of AM3/FM1/AM3+/FM2 during the dark times of total intel domination. Anything with A-link express 3 is x4.

I suppose it is possible that someone has modded such a thing into existence, but it wasn't amd's doing.
