Reviews are just icing on the cake. I'm going to order Zen3 on launch day. I haven't been this pumped about a new CPU since I ordered a Sandy Bridge Core i7-2600K on its launch day.

They probably found themselves with a bunch of 12 core parts that were faulty and laser cut the bad cores to make them sellable. You should know how this game is played by now.

Nah, I'd hazard a guess that there aren't many 6-core dies that can be salvaged into 5-core dies, but they are instead targetting 10-core specifically as a jab at intel. If they were going to this length in the rest of their product stack we'd see 5-core, 7-core, and 14-core parts too.

No, this is definitely a middle-finger to Intel, and because 10-core is Intel's flagship, this will probably be priced to aggressively undercut them and poach sales of people looking at Intel's finest. It doesn't even have to beat Intel's 10900K if it can get within a few percent at a much lower cost and much lower power consumption....
