important, wait for a 760G board would have much better graphics if any gaming at all is to be done. that is, HD3200 vs. HD2100, 760G also has new SB710. the 780G also has the better IGP, and you could get one now for pocket change more than the 740G.

System back up, media streaming and being a general bit bucket

in that case no need for better graphics, but still, the 780G isn'tmuch more $.

no gaming is gonna happen on this machine, ever. pure file storage and backup. I am debating though on the hard drives. im going straight 1TB drives in an Antec 300, but what 1TB drives would offer the best price/performance ratio? consider that the server could be backing up one machine while streaming music to another and a movie to 360 or ps3.

the gigabyte i linked in the first post is under $60 usd. and has all the features i think i would need
